Do you know the scope of the project you are considering, or is discernment part of the task? For example, do you need to do a spatial assessment of your facility, what works and what doesn't? It's important to analyze how your space carries out your mission, and how it fights with what you are trying to do. You will also need to determine how the community will be organized to carry out this work (gathering information, assigning roles, community-building during transitions). You will need to define responsibilities and get help where you need it (fund raising and financial management, project management, design, consultants, etc,).
