Ruach – the Spirit, or Breath, washes over the Word like a river of light. It falls on the Ten Commandments and the Torah: textual bedrock of Judaism, seedbed of Christianity, and the background of Western thought. It washes down the steps and out into our present through a divided architectural frame of ancient and classical tradition.
